Jean C. Clish, age 74 of Warren, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She was born on August 1, 1939 in Spring Hill, West Virginia, daughter of the late Duard and the late Rose Marie (nee: Meadows) Kinder. With an entrepreneurial spirit as her guide, and hard work ethics as her support, Jean's earlier years were spent running a business in the lone star state of Texas,…where everything is big! Together with her brother, the two were the owner's & proprietor's of a Country & Western store that kept the community well-styled in their country duds and apparel. She enjoyed serving the thousands of customer's that came her way until she relocated to Michigan where she opted for a change in the employment venue and landed a job making seatbelts for the automotive industry. When she wasn't working, Jean loved to dabble in the world of Arts & Crafts and will be fondly remembered for the many, beautiful pieces she so skillfully created,…and which, ultimately, became gifts for the one's she loved. Some of the most precious of her talents were the Christmas pieces and her unique crocheted angels. Her hands produced a number of wonderful works of art throughout the years and reflected the immense gift she possessed within that touched many hearts and lives. Yes, her hands worked their magic,…and not merely in the realm of art, but also in the kitchen as well. There's no question of the skills she had in baking, and her ability to tickle one's sweet tooth. Of the many tasty treats that came out of Jean's oven, her signature pieces were definitely that scrumptious German Chocolate Cake and her matchless Pumpkin Cookies. Got Milk? For those who truly knew Jean, they'll remember how she could spend money with the best of them,…and then some. She wasn't bashful, stingy or frugal. If she saw something she liked, it was the fruits of her labors that allowed her to call it her own. Yet for as much as she did for herself, she gave back in countless fashion as well. Jean possessed a heart of gold and gave to her fellow man in ways that many of us never would. She had a caring and giving spirit that spoke volumes to many of the people whose paths she was blessed to cross. She leaves behind a unique and loving legacy, and will be missed immensely. She was the beloved wife of the late Fred.Arrangements were entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. Please share memories of Jean at her memory book.
