Jerome MacDonald

Jerome MacDonald, age 81, of Warren, died Friday, November 10th, 2023, at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren, from injuries related to a fall. He was born August 241942, in Lincoln Park, Wayne County, Michigan, to John and Hughena MacDonald.

Jerome is survived by his sister Jean MacDonald of Livonia, nieces Laurie (Rick) Colburne of Petrolia, Ontario, Carol (Jim) Worster of Sulfur Springs, Texas, Donna Ruby of Waterford, Theresa (Steve) Light of Milan, and nephews Robert (Shyrl) Ruby of Hartland, and Michael (Melissa) Ruby of Monroe, plus other grand nieces and nephews. Jerome was predeceased by his wife of 20 years, Linda Cheryl (Hackel) MacDonald, and by his siblings Marie, John, and Alexander.

Jerome worked at Chrysler and General Motors, doing full scale clay modeling for automotive designs, for over 20 years. He was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the US Army 1964-1968. Jerome enjoyed boating, both sail and power, and visiting with his brother Al. Since retirement, Jerome spent time traveling with Linda, and he could often be found at the VFW Post 6756 in Center Line, Michigan. The family would like to thank VFW Post 6756 for the support Jerome received after Linda died in 2020.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 19th, from 11 am to 6 pm, at D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, at the corner of Hoover and Common Road, ½ mile south of 13 Mile, Warren, Michigan. There will be a 30 minute Catholic service at 5 pm on Sunday. Burial with military honors will be Monday, November 20th, at 9:30 am, at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. A dinner honoring Jerome will be held from 2-6 on Monday at the VFW Post in Center Line.
