Joan Treppa

Joan Treppa, age 72 a resident of Warren for over 44 years died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren Michigan. Joan was born May 06, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Leonard Wachlarz and the late Cassie (nee: Kendzierski) Wachlarz. Joan was raised in Detroit and attended Pershing High School. After high school she worked various jobs before marrying and becoming a stay at home mother. Joan raised five children in a loving household. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and jig-saw puzzles; however her family was her life and joy. Many great memories were made and shared up north at their traditional camping spots. Joan was the beloved wife of the late Norman Treppa, and is the dear mother of Janet (Lisle) Anderson, David (Lisa) Treppa, Ann (Mark) Victor, Steven (Wendy) Treppa, and the late Thomas Treppa. She is the loving grandmother of Christopher, Jessica (Ken), Matthew, Nicholas, James, Kaitlin, and great-grandmother of Emily, Owen, and Christian. Joan is also survived by her siblings, Barbara (John) Cipponeri, Edward (Marcia) Wachlarz, and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Treppa will be Tuesday from 5-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road) in Warren. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00am from the funeral home.
