Johanna "Joann" E. Doyle, age 85, died Friday, December 11, 2015 at Rose Senior Living in Clinton Township, Michigan. Johanna was born August 30, 1930 in Detroit, daughter of the late Giovanni and the late Elizabeth (nee: Battani) Alinosi.Johanna was raised in Center Line and was a proud graduate of Center Line High School. She enjoyed her Center Line residency which spanned over 22 years, and is where she was honored to be an employee of the Center Line Board of Education. She possessed the heart of a servant and strove each day to be of help to her fellow man. Of the many ways she accomplished that goal, one of the most profound was in the 35 years she served as a volunteer with St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren. This helped fulfill the deep desire she held in serving others.Johanna's life was wonderfully changed when she met her true love, Donald Doyle. Following their courtship, the two promised themselves in marriage and decided to make their new home in the growing community of Warren, Michigan. It is there they raised 7 beautiful children; 4 boys and 3 girls,...built upon the warmth of home & hearth,...and grew deeper in love with each passing day.Together with husband, Donald, the two were devout members of St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Warren. Being a strong woman of faith, Johanna faithfully attended Mass there until the church's eventual closure. Johanna was a lover of dance, a pastime she thoroughly enjoyed while in the arms of her beloved, Donald. Together, these two lovebirds could cut-a-rug with the best of them and make it all look so easy and smooth. Another favorite she enjoyed was traveling with Donald to new and exciting destinations, creating quite the portfolio of places visited and scenic memories to reflect upon. But of all the times and memories she enjoyed the most, it was the cherished family celebrations with her children and grandchildren that brought her the greatest joys in life. Some of the most special times were those spent attending her 14 grandchildren's various school events. Grandma was certainly their biggest and proudest banner waver. Johanna was the beloved wife of Donald who preceded her in death on July 8, 1996. She was a loving mother to her seven children; Donald (Wanda) Doyle, Dennis (Rita) Doyle, Deborah (Paul) Michon, Daniel Doyle, Darlene (Paul) DeRubeis, Douglas (Valerie) Doyle, and DelMarie (Robert) Ehresman. She is also survived by her two sisters, Genevieve George and Beatrice "Bea" (John) Smilnak, and a brother-in-law, Henry Peters. Johanna leaves behind her 14 cherished grandchildren; Kimberly, Kelly, Michelle (Andy), Kristen (Kevin), Patrick (Kim), Matthew, Brittany, Megan, Michael (Allie), Michaella, Jessica, Madeline, Jacob, Veronika, and her 7 special great-grandchildren; Ian, Brigid, Oliver, Kaylie, Kyla, Kason, and Melody. Johanna was preceded in death by sisters, Aleanor Holcomb and Mary Peters. Visitation for Johanna will be held on Tuesday, December 15th from 3-9pm, with a 7:00pm Scripture Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. She will lie in state on Wednesday at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, 2675 John R Road in Rochester Hills from 10:30 am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.Please share memories of Johanna at her memory book above.
