John E. McLean

John E. McLean, 64, of Shelby Township, died June 8, 2007 at Wm. Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was born February 14, 1943 in Jackson, Michigan to Augustine and Mary McLean. John proudly retired in 2002 as a liuetenant from the Warren Police Department where he was an officer for 35 years. He was a member of the Christopher Wouters #127 F.O.P Hall. John enjoyed making model boats and fishing. He is a former member of The Muskie Club. He was incredibly proud of his children and all they have achieved. John's favorite time of year was around Christmas. John is survived by his wife, Ljena; children John (Julie), Dawn, Matt (Pam)and Nik; step-daughter, Juanelle (Tony) Degiulio; grandchildren, Jacob, Jared, Mekenna and Kieryn; sisters, Diane Thomas and Mary McLean; nieces, Michelle and Meagan; and nephews, Larry and Carl. Also survived by his big grey cat, Smokey; and grand-dog, Trooper. Visitation for John will be Tuesday, 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 1/2 Mile). There will be a rosary Tuesday at 6:00 pm. Wednesday closing prayers, 10:30 am at the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass, 11:00 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church. The Mass will be officiated by Fr. Gary Schulte.
