Born in Detroit to the late Walter and Helen Trpkov, John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later worked at Iron Mountain, where he drove routes across Michigan and the Metro Detroit area.
A true rocker at heart, John was a lifelong AC/DC fan who always had the volume turned up. Beyond the loud guitars and long roads, he had a soft spot for the simpler joys in life. His favorite moments were the ones spent with his beloved wife, the late Coralee Trpkovski, especially during their frequent trips to Frankenmuth, strolling through the shops. One of their most cherished spots was Big Boy’s, a special place where they shared countless meals, laughs, and memories.
John was a loving father. He was the kind of dad who enjoyed the little things that made the everyday magical—whether it was coloring side by side with his girls or dancing along with them to Just Dance. He treasured family camping trips as the girls were growing up, particularly at KOA sites in Port Huron and Camp Dearborn, where campfires, stories, and laughter filled the air.
He is survived by his daughters Theresa (Macauley) and Helena, his sisters Christine (Carl), Donna, and the late Florence along with 14 nieces, 18 nephews, 9 great-nieces, 13 great-nephews, and a wide circle of cousins, friends, and extended family who will miss him dearly.
Friends may visit the AH Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, MI 48088 on Sunday, April 27th from 10:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. Memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116, are appreciated.
