Katherine L. O'Grady, age 85, of Sterling Heights, died Monday, June 20, 2011. She was born in North Carolina on June 17, 1926 the daughter of the late Alan and the late Josephine (nee: Parsons) Whitten. She was a retired Navy Nurse. She is survived by her children, Kathy, Johanna and Larry III; grandchildren, Emilie, Gillian, Mallyn, Allyson and Rileigh; sister, Martha Ditucci. She was married to Col. Lawrence O'Grady USMC for 57 years. Visitation for Katherine will be held Wednesday 5:00 pm until the time of her Funeral Service at 7:00 pm at the D.S.
