Keith was the beloved husband of the late Joan Hallas. He was a devoted brother to Kathleen Chawa, the late Howard Hallas, the late Kay (the late Pat) Janson, and the late Deborah Miller. He was a cherished uncle to Cheryal, John, Michelle, and Leanne, and a proud great-uncle to Brittany, Derek, Paige, Corinne, Anthony, Tyler, Ashleigh, Ellie, Hunter, and Ronan, as well as a great-great-uncle to Myla, Makenna, Macy, and Clara.
Keith served his country honorably as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, completing two tours in Vietnam as a field radio operator. Following his military service, he dedicated over 30 years of his career as a machinist at Ford before retiring.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Keith loved metal detecting and often shared that passion by taking his nieces along. He enjoyed vacations to local beaches, especially Port Austin, and could often be found playing the lotto or bingo. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, especially during holidays and gatherings.
Keith was truly the patriarch of his family and the one everyone turned to for guidance, support, and wisdom. He shared in life’s most meaningful moments, including proudly walking his nieces down the aisle on their wedding days.
A memorial instate will be held on Friday, April 10, from 3:30 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:30 pm, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren.
