Kenneth John Edwards

Kenneth John Edwards, age 47, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 13, 2017 in Fishers, Indiana. Kenneth was born December 27, 1969, the son of William Louis and Frances Marie Edwards, and was raised in Warren, Michigan. Ken attended and graduated from De LaSalle Collegiate High School, a proud member of the Class of 1988. Ken then attended GMI Engineering & Management Institute, graduating in 1993. Ken began his career as a test engineer working for the General Motors Truck Division in Pontiac, Michigan at their Structural Development Labs. He completed his Masters in Science through the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Ken's skill set took him through many various positions within General Motors and moved to Fishers, Indiana in 2006. He most recently worked for Allison Transmission as a Program Purchasing Manager. Ken met the love of his life, Michelle, while in high school and dated throughout college. Their love eventually led them to the altar, and the two were married in 1994. In 2000, Ken and Michelle's oldest daughter, Sydney, was born, the first grandchild of the family. In 2005, Ken and Michelle welcomed another girl, Cassidy, into their family circle.Ken loved to play golf. He and friends took multiple golf trips each year as well as being ready, at a moments notice, when asked to play. Ken also loved his career in the automotive industry and loved all cars, but held a special affinity toward corvettes. However, Ken's true passion and love in his life was for his wife and his two girls. Over the years, Ken and his family took many wonderful trips together with everlasting memories of his girls. Kenneth was the cherished husband of Michelle, and the loving father of Sydney and Cassidy. He was the beloved son of William and Frances Edwards, and dear brother of Bill Edwards, Kristine (Garret) Achenbach, Jeanne (Chris) Campbell; cherished brother in-law of Cheryl (Geoff) Schoeman, and son in-law of Sue Rassette. Loving Uncle of Kayla, Taylor, Brendan, McKenna and Paige.Visitation for Kenneth will be held Wednesday, January 18th from 4-8pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). Kenneth will lie in state on Thursday, 10:30am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 11am. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Reverend Fr.
