

Lance R. Graham, age 46 of Huntington Woods, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was on born March 26, 1965 in Tawas City, the son of Robert and Donna (nee: Kennedy) Graham. Lance was a graduate of Sterling Heights High School, Class of 1983. From there, he went on to continue his education at Walsh College where he attained his Bachelor of Arts degree. For over 23 years, he was employed with Health Alliance Plan (HAP) where he extended the utmost in dedicated service as the Director of Configuration in their IT department. When he wasn't working, Lance enjoyed a number of favorite pastimes that included golfing, bowling, working out, and also working in the yard. But perhaps the most favorite of all were the treasured times he spent spoiling his niece and nephews, Karly, Kevin and Travis. He absolutely adored his three amigos and cherished each and every moment they shared together. The memories they created were the stuff that dreams are made of,...and he held them close. Lance possessed a very giving and charitable heart as well. With an unselfish spirit and the desire to make a difference, he was often found taking part in various fundraising walks and charitable events in the fight against cancer, alzheimer's, and in support of the Detroit Opera House. Always thinking of others first, Lance's philanthropic efforts truly made an impact within his community. Lance was also a lover of music, but it was the "music of his heart" that played the sweetest melodies. He was a genuinely happy person with a caring and generous spirit, a man who was loved by all. A life gone far too soon, Lance leaves behind a storehouse of treasured moments & memories with all of the loved ones and friends he touched along life's way. He will be immensely missed and eternally remembered. Lance is survived by his parents, Robert and Donna Graham; brother, Kelly (Beth) Graham; nephews, Kevin and Travis; niece, Karly; best friend, Jack Carr; he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Visitation for Lance will be held Sunday 5-9 pm and Monday 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). His funeral service will be Tuesday 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Please share memories of Lance at his guest book.
