Lawrence Gerald Klosterman

Born on August 12, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, Larry was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Rosella Klosterman. A devoted husband, he shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage with the late Barbara Klosterman, traveling the world together and making cherished memories—especially in their favorite getaway, Orange Beach, Alabama, where Larry continued to visit each year even after Barbara’s passing.

Larry was the proud father of the late Mark (Stacy) Klosterman, Pamela (Ronald) Heintzelman, Paul (Bonnie) Klosterman, and Matthew Klosterman. He was a loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 9 great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

He was a caring brother to the late Joe, Don, Norma, and Beth, and is survived by his brothers Ed and Paul. Larry also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Larry served his country with honor. Following his service, he built a successful career, retiring as Vice President after 30 years with Jacobs Industries.

Larry was an inventor at heart and took great pride in developing and patenting the “Can Mate” 15 years ago. He loved handing them out and sharing the story behind it with a big smile.

An avid golfer and fisherman, he cherished time spent on the course with friends or on the water with his brothers and family. His warmth, humor, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Larry's life was filled with love, laughter, adventure, and a deep devotion to his family. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Instate will be held the following day, Wednesday, July 30, from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home.
