

Lillian C. Skorski, age 81 a resident of Warren since 1948, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Henry Ford Bi-County Hospital in Warren Michigan. Lillian was born June 12, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Adam Novach and the late Jennie (nee: Sienicki) Novach. Lillian was raised in Detroit and graduated from St. Ladislaus Catholic High School. Following high school Lillian worked at Chrysler Motors and later went to work for the Warren Consolidated Schools as an administrative secretary in the Adult Education Department. Lillian married the love of her life Donald Carl Skorski on April 17, 1948. She and her husband settled in Warren to start a family. When Lillian was not working, her time was spent at home caring for her family or shopping at one of the local malls. Lillian loved to sew clothing and made much of her daughters clothing when they were young. She and her husband also enjoyed traveling and later in retirement spent their winters in Florida. Mrs. Skorski was the beloved wife of 63 years to Donald C. Skorski, and the dear mother of Patricia (the late Charles) Dutko, Susan (John) Fiero, and Donna (Jim) Jalosky. She was the cherished grandmother of Michael (Kim) Fiero, Peter (Krista) Fiero, Charles (Elisa) Dutko, and the late Kenneth Dutko, and the sister of Edward Novach. Mrs. Skorski is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, Charley Ann & Eli Dutko, Grace Ann, Abigail, Perry, Audrey, Nora, and Ian Fiero. Visitation will be held Friday 2-9 pm with a 7pm Rosary at the D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 mile). Mrs. Skorski will lie in state Saturday 9:30am at St. Teresa of Avila Church St. Dorothy Campus, until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr.
