Linda Cheryl MacDonald

Linda Cheryl MacDonald, age 73 of Warren, died Friday, August 14, 2020, at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights. She was born October 29, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late William and the late Margaret (nee: Frauce) Hackel.

Linda worked for the city of Warren for 25 years. She was the first female dispatcher for the Warren Police Department before eventually working and retiring from the Maintenance Department. She was an active member and even volunteered at the VFW Post 6756 in Warren. Linda was married to the love of her life, Jerome, for 20 years. Family meant the world to her, and she enjoyed spending time with them whenever she could. In her leisure time, Linda loved to travel and especially enjoyed gambling at the casinos nearby. If she wasn't sitting in front of a slot machine, you could usually find Linda at home watching her favorite TV show, CSI, along with any other crime scene investigation show of the like. She will be loved and missed eternally by all who knew her. 

Linda was the beloved wife of Jerome. Loving mother of Ken (Karen) Ahearn. Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Meghan). Adored great-grandmother of Rylee and Carson. Dear sister of William (Ada) Hackel. Linda is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A private family viewing will be held for Linda. Interment to take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
