Lorraine Mary Jarmaga

Lorraine Mary Jarmaga, age 93, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at Lourdes Nursing Home in Waterford, Michigan. Lorraine was born August 7, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Anthony Klein and the late Mary (nee: Szhankin) Klein.Lorraine attended school until the 8th grade and, like other youths of this era, went to work as a young girl. She later met and married the love of her life, Henry Jarmaga and made their first home in Detroit and later moved to the burgeoning community of Warren, Michigan in 1957.Lorraine became a "stay at home" Mom and relished caring for her two sons, and also attending every one of their sporting events. She was a faithful and devout Catholic and former member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Warren. While as a parishioner of the church, she was also a member of the Christian Mothers, the weekly Mother of Perpetual Help devotion, and also the Altar Society. She was truly the matriarch of her family and the defender of her boys. In addition to her rough and tumble nature, she had a kind and generous heart that thrived on helping others.Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Henry R. Jarmaga , and dear mother of Randy Jarmaga, and the late Dennis Jarmaga. Visitation for Lorraine will be held Friday, April 20th from 3-9 pm, with a 7 pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile) in Warren. Mrs. Jarmaga will lie in state on Saturday from 9:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 48115 Schoenherr Road in Shelby Township.
