Lucia Aguilar David

Lucia Aguilar David, age 78 of Warren, died Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren, Michigan. She was born March 4, 1942 in the Philippines, daughter of the late Leocadio and the late Candelaria (nee: Antioquia) Aquilar.

Revered as a consummate Radio Telex Operator, that was just one of the many hats Lucia wore in her duties as a communications expert. Encompassing a vast array of applications and expertise in the field, she was truly the “go-to person” for all things communicative.

When she found time away from work, you’d often find Lucia getting her hands dirty potting plants. She was, indeed, a lover of flora & fauna, and poured every bit of her tender-loving-care into nurturing her plants and introducing new growth to the mix. As sturdy as a plant can be, they are always needy when they’re being planted or transplanted,…and Lucia possessed just the right amount of TLC and know-how to make her plants a sight to behold.

Another passion of Lucia’s was wrapped in the wonderful world of Music! Whether she was listening to it, singing to it, or dancing to a happy tune, Lucia loved being immersed in the mood shaping delights of song. And we certainly cannot forget her other passion,…Eating! She looooved food, especially when it was sliding down her gullet. They say eating makes you happy, which explains why Lucia was surrounded by a host of family and friends who fed off of her energy and enthusiasm.

Lucia’s family meant the world to her, and she leaves a host of loved ones in her wake to love, and be loved, as prescribed by her Father in Heaven. She was blessed to know the joys of family, and the ensuing happiness and sweet release that came from having them in her life.       

Lucia was the beloved wife of the late Jesse. Dearest mother of Anthony Darwin Aguilar (Mila) David. Loving grandmother of Andrian and Matthew. Sister of Adrianna Villanueva.

A Memorial Visitation for Lucia will be held Tuesday, October 13th, from 6-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd.) in Warren.
