M. Frank Kurek

M. Frank Kurek, age 70, April 28, 2023. Beloved husband of Nancy for 52 years. Dear father of Lisa (Darick) Husken, Ed (Robyn) Kurek and Jessica Kurek. Proud grandfather of Haley (Fiancé Kenny), Dylan (Hallie), Nicole, Olivia, Aaron and Kolton with one on the way. Loving brother of John (the late Sherry), the late Paula (Lee) Sloan, the late Jim, Chris Kurek, Donna Kurek and Basha (Leo) Biela. Frank is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Czeslawa Kurek. He is loved and missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Frank was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was always joking and in that spirit he could be found at the Memorial Day Parade dressed as a clown and handing out Tootsie Rolls for the Knights. When he wasn’t joking, he enjoyed visiting his son in Texas, hunting, fishing (especially with the grandkids) and picking mushrooms while walking through the woods. Most of all he loved spending time with Nancy, whether it was a dinner or party with the Knights of Columbus or a night of dancing.

Visitation will take place on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 2pm to 8pm with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7pm at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home at 30009 Hoover Road in Warren. Frank will lie in state Saturday at 9:30am until the time of a Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Ephrem Catholic Church at 38900 Dodge Park Road in Sterling Heights. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the family.
