Margaret Biserka Babich

Margaret was born on April 27, 1931 in Croatia to her parents Franjo and Danica Vrbanac.

In 1958, at the age of 27, Margaret emigrated from Croatia to the United States where she married her beloved husband George. They spent 42 years together residing in Warren where she raised her family and was actively involved at her church. She was a retired bus driver for Warren Consolidated Schools, an active member of The Woods Church where she went on several Work & Witness trips to help those in need. Margaret was also a long standing member of the Croatian Fraternal Union in Warren and at one point served at St. John Hospital at 12 Mile and Hoover as a Chaplain.

In her free time Margaret loved to garden, enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was especially an extremely proud grandma. She took painting classes and was an amateur painter as well as an amateur writer.

Margaret is survived by her children Gloria (the late Carl) Allvin, Gary (Helga) Babich and Matthew Babich. Grandchildren Justin Allvin, Jordan (Tyler) Allvin, Jenna Babich, Jacob Babich, Jillian Babich and Jackson Babich. Great grandchild Logan Hatfield. Sister Blazenka Korolija. She is also survived by nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in passing by her husband George of 42 years (d. 2000).

Friends may visit The Woods Church, 14300 East Thirteen Mile Road, Warren, MI 48088 on Thursday, January 16 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 A.M.

Margaret will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband George following church services.
