

Margene Beatrice Olsen age 77 died Saturday June 27, 2015 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens Michigan surrounded by her loving family. Marge was born July 9, 1937 in Detroit Michigan the daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Volrich.Marge was raised in East Detroit and graduated from East Detroit High School. Following her schooling Marge worked for Michigan Bell Telephone, and later met the love of her life. Marge and Robert Olsen married on her birthday July 9, 1955, the young couple eventually settled in Warren Michigan where the Olsen family would reside for the next 55 years to present.Marge enjoyed being a homemaker, mother, and wife. She kept an immaculate home and also tended to her beautiful gardens. Her backyard was her pride and joy. She enjoyed planting flowers and arranging her garden decorations just right so when anyone walked in the back yard their first reaction was to say "Wow". Marge made sure her children were always well taken care of along with herself always looking beautiful... She coordinated her fashion, makeup and jewelry whenever she ventured out. Marge's daughters recall her never leaving home without her lipstick on and matching outfits with jewelry . . . she always looked awesome!Marge enjoyed shopping with family, going to craft shows and taking quick trips to Frankenmuth. She also enjoyed the trips downtown to the local casinos.After her children were grown, Marge worked as a receptionist with her daughter at a local car dealership for quite a few years. However when not working Marge could be found at home enjoying her days in the garden or visiting with her children, grandchildren, and friends whom she cherished and loved.Mrs. Olsen was the beloved wife of Robert, and is the dear mother of Sue (Mark) Kvocka, Jill DeCaussin, Rob (Anita) Olsen, and Jeannie (Kurt) Northrup. She was also the loving grandmother of Alex, Brianna, Gina, Jason, Tyler, Kate, Anna, and the sister of Don (Diane) Volrich.Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 1st at Tina's Country House and Gardens, 50828 North Avenue in Macomb, MI 48042. Marge's family will receive friends and guests from 1:00pm until time of the Celebration of Life Service at 2:30pm. Following the service, a meal and fellowship will follow.
