Marie Wasung

Marie Wasung, 88, of Warren, died Friday, December 8, 2006 at her home. She was born February 2, 1918 in Connecticut. Marie married her husband Victor in 1936 at St. Florian Catholic Church in Hamtramck. After beginning their family, Marie and Victor moved to Warren 43 years ago. Marie was a member of the Warren Polka Boosters and the Blue Star Mothers. Marie is survived by her children; Rose Marie (Hon. Robert) Chrzanowski, Thomas V. Wasung, Elaine (Stanley) Szot; grandchildren, Kenneth, Janet (Chris), Susan (Brad), Michael (Jennifer), Laura, Steven, Rachele (Pete) and Andrew (Alison); great grandchildren, Rebecca, Amanda, Madeline, Hannah Joy, Katie, Ryan and Abigail; brothers-in-law, Ted Wasung and Joe Nowak; and sisters-in-law, Helena Franke and Sylvia Wasung. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Victor; and daughter, Loretta Joy (Fred) Bahorski. Visitation for Marie will take place Monday from 5-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 Mile), Warren. A rosary will be recited Tuesday. Marie will be in state Wednesday, 10:00 am until the funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church. The Mass will be officiated by Fr. Gary Schulte. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
