Mark Edward Miller, age 56, passed away at his home in Clawson, Michigan. He was born November 15, 1961 in Detroit, son of Carolyn (nee: Decker) Miller, and the late Edward J. Miller. Following his early employment experiences, Mark eventually landed a career position with the communications giant, Comcast. Working as one of the company's Line Technician's, Mark extended the utmost in service excellence for over 32 years while on the job.As for some of his favorite pastimes away from the job, Mark was known for his love of hunting. Hailing from one of the hunting meccas of America, he was an avid participator of the sport and enjoyed the twofold benefit it provided of soaking up the beauty and splendor of the outdoors. Mark was also quite the "Car Guy" as well. Satisfying his need-for-speed was often enjoyed through his love of NASCAR racing and the competitive nature of it all. There was just something invigorating for Mark when it came to the power, sounds, and fascination that accompanied the sport,…and fed that "machismo bone" inside. Still on the subject of cars, but from an entirely different angle came Mark's love of a very special ride,…his Polaris Slingshot! Quite the eye-catcher and unique set of wheels, there was never a lack of exhilaration and pride each time he climbed in and took her for a spin. That was "his baby" and, without a doubt, his favorite Man Toy! An open-air, 3 wheeled, low-riding buggy, it was truly a head-turner and something for which he took great pride in owning. And for as much as Mark loved hunting and cars, he was equally fond of animals,…especially those of the canine breed. They say that a dog is a man's best friend, and Mark had a lot of furry friends out there that garnered his attention and were a welcome gift when he needed a taste of that unconditional love that only a pet or animal can offer.Yet of all the things Mark enjoyed the most, it really had more to do with the special people in his life as opposed to things. Whether family or friend, to know Mark was to love him,…and he always returned that love in abundance. He was especially fond of the family reunions that brought relatives together for a very special moment in time, relatives that were often seen just that one time of year. He coveted those memories, as he did each of them individually, and held them dear to his heart. A loving father, grandfather, son and brother, Mark leaves behind a legacy of love that is sure to bring a smile to quell the tears when remembering the warm and wonderful person he was to all. Though he leaves us far too soon in the scheme of things, it is not without impacting and influencing many lives in his journey this side of Heaven. He touched a multitude of hearts and souls with his goodness and caring spirit, and goes on ahead as he awaits the most special reunion of all. May he rest in peace. Mark was the beloved father of Markus D. Miller. Loving grandfather of Kaydence Marie Miller. Dear son of Carolyn and the late Edward Miller. Brother of Bonnie Miller. Uncle of Bryan and Bryanna. Visitation for Mark will be held Friday, July 6th from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren.
