Mary was born on July 28, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, where she was also raised. On September 15, 1978, she married her beloved husband, Raymond James Lisiecki, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and memories until his passing on June 17, 2022. Together, they made their home in Sterling Heights, where they built a life centered around family, friendship, and warmth. Mary was a devoted stay-at-home mother who took great pride in raising her children and creating a loving home.
Mary is survived by her loving children: Brian (Heather), David (Aneta), and Paige (longtime partner Jeremy); her cherished grandchildren, Brayden, Liliana, and Carson, whom she absolutely adored; and her siblings: Diane Kozlowski (Thomas), Adella Rosendale, Ronald Poplawski, Deborah Mihal (Jeffery), and Pamela Baskin (Scott).
Mary’s greatest joy was her family, and she was especially proud of her children. All three of her children played hockey, and she was their number one fan—faithfully supporting them at every game, cheering them on with pride and unwavering love.
She had a vibrant personality, always smiling, outgoing, and easy to talk to. Mary had a way of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable, and she was truly a pleasure to be around. She loved to travel and created countless memories on trips to destinations like Disney, Myrtle Beach, the Dominican Republic, and on cruises, along with many other adventures.
In her free time, Mary found happiness in the simple pleasures of life: relaxing in the sunshine, enjoying time by her pool, cooking, trips to the casino, and visiting the family cottage up north with her loved ones. These moments, filled with laughter and togetherness, meant the world to her.
Mary will always be remembered for her colorful clothing, her signature pink lipstick, and her perfectly painted nails—small but meaningful reflections of her bright spirit and joyful personality.
Mary will be remembered for her kind heart, her radiant smile, and the deep love she had for her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the beautiful moments she created with those she loved.
