

Mary A. Veltri (née Mary A. Vizzaccaro) passed peacefully, with the comfort of her family at her side, at St. John Hospital on August 11, 2017at the age of 86.Mary was the beloved wife of John T. Veltri who preceded her in death. She was the proud mother of Anthony (Virginia) Veltri, John (Patti) Veltri, Patricia (David) Marchetti, JoAnne (Greg) Flynn, Geralyn (Billie) Wilson, Paul (Debby)Veltri, Thomas and James Veltri. She was the cherished Nana to: Anthony (Emily) Veltri, Christopher (Meghan) Veltri, Patrick (fiancé Jenna) Veltri, Matthew Veltri, Daniel Veltri, Kevin Veltri, Michael (Christina) Marchetti, Matthew Marchetti, Andrew Marchetti, Kevin Flynn, Bryan Flynn, Noah Wilson, Eric Wilson, PJ Veltri, Amy Veltri, and Meghan Veltri. She was also the treasured great grandmother of Emma Colleen Veltri.Mary was the oldest child of dear Josephine Vizzaccaro and loving sister to Helen Seamen, Gloria Dupont, Yolanda Campana, Irene Stocker and Raymond Vizzaccaro. Mary was also the devoted Aunt to over 60 nieces and nephews.Mary graduated from St. Elizabeth High School in Detroit, MI. She loved her family the most and enjoyed holidays with good food and her dear ones surrounding her. She was also devoted to her Catholic faith and shared that faith with her children. Mary could never pass up a card game and could beat everyone at Jeopardy. Her other passion was reading and she always had at least one or two books at her side.Memorial donations can be made to the Thomas P. and James E. Veltri Special Needs Trust, C/O Patricia Marchetti, 43599 Riverway Drive, Clinton Township, MI 48038. The Trust will provide for the care of Mary's sons, Thomas and James.Visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, August 15th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a 7:00 pm Rosary, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd), Warren, MI 48093.Her Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 16th at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of families Catholic Church, St. Clement Campus in Center Line, MI. Internment will immediately follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.Please share memories of Mary at her memory book above.
