Matilda "Flo" Bensinger

Flo was born on November 7, 1927, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, to the late John and Sophia Borushynski. She grew up in Winnipeg alongside her late siblings: Edward, Henry, Norman, Helen, and Viola.

Beloved wife of the late James Bensinger. Loving mother of Lance (Carol) Hannesson, James (Linda) Bensinger, the late Debbie (Tom) Mertz, and Michael (Tammy) Bensinger. Proud grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of five, with one more on the way. Cherished sister-in-law of Bob (the late Joann) Bensinger.

Flo was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Dorothy Catholic Church until its closing, and later a faithful member of St. Clement/St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families.

She lived a full and beautiful 97 years, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Instate at 9:30 AM at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families (formerly St. Clement), located at 25320 Van Dyke Ave. (north of 10 Mile Rd.), until the time of Mass at 10:00 AM.
