Matt was my fiance's uncle, even though I knew him a very short time he was a wonderful, funny and caring man. I don't know much about him, but when I was around him he was always making everyone laugh and just living life. When I went to the hospital to see him I couldn't believe that he was going to go. He seemed like to much of a lively person to leave. He will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him. Even though it was such a short time that he was actually in my life I still feel like I have known him a lot longer. I remember when I first met him he was just so outgoing and seemed like a great people person, after he passed I met the rest of his family and they were just as wonderful as he himself was. Still I felt like I knew everyone, usually I am not comfortable right away with people, but they were all just so full of happiness and laughter. It's great to know people who still are good. May God rest his soul and let him rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about Matt.I was a old freind who grew up with Matt on the east side and we attented Burbank elementery and Denby together.Every now and then we would wonder what ever happened to Matt,I'd lost touch after Denby.Me and my buddy Jeff still have a second grade picture of Matt with his cool crested red blazer on.Will miss you buddy.Kim

Matt was an awesome person. Always nice to me even when I teased him about rooting for the Detroit Lions! He's going to be missed deeply.

I will leave room for others, so I will share but this one memory. We were all at my aunt Linda's house for christmas, I was 7 or 8, and Matt caught me double dipping in the vegetable dip. He kept quiet as he turned to me and said" Bruce man, one day your gonna be into talking to the ladies, and if they see you do that you're gonna have 'em runnin' like no tomorrow, man." This was my very first lesson in table manners and chivalry. Untill I sat to write this I was unable to shed tears, either from shock or denial. I dare you to sit and open a heineken, about half way through; play the song "House of the rising son" and get on here and write the very first memory that comes to mind.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Matt (Dillon).I've had the pleasure of knowing Matt while we worked together at Paramount Fab in Detroit.We had lots of good times.Well,the good times don't last forever. Gail! We are so sorry about Matt. We only met him that once, but he made a great impression on us.He seemed to be a great standup guy. We cannot even imagine what you are going though. Matt was a friend of a friend who will always be remembered by several friends thanks to his girlfriend Gail.. Im sorry that Matt is gone. I grew up with Matt on the east side of Detroit and was in the Boy Scouts with him. I haven't seen Matt in many years but I remember him as being quite funny and a nice guy. Brian.

I would like to say I am sorry I couldnt be there to say my goodbyes. See I live in Kentucky with my family and we were not able to come. It is very sad we have lost a good man. It will be hard not seeing him with my aunt Gail. Matt was a good uncle, very caring and fun and I really enjoy spending time with him. I will always remember our talks and time we spent together at Christmas time, when Matt and my aunt Gail would come out to my Parents house. Matt has been in my life since I was little, and got to see me grow up and get married and have my girls. Matt was very loved and will be miss very dearly. i love you Matt and aunt Gail. We will always remember the summer days and nights we shared with Matthew at Patty & Mike's house. We'll especially miss his childhood stories, the hilarious updates on the happenings on the "east side" and how he always referred to his brother Mike as "Miguel". He was warm, genuine and above all a wonderful person. We feel blessed to have gotten to know him.

Well, I believe I could fill this book with memories and instances of happiness, and just as many of times I was scolded for being young and dumb. You see Matt Is and was more of a father to me than anyone I've come into contact with to date.

We have so many fond memories of summers at Aunt Patty and Uncle Mike's. We are so happy that Matt is part of these memories. We'll remember him playing cards, Tripoly and sitting around talking. We love the story told about Matt signing "Matt the Cat" on Mark's souvenir baseball. Matt, We will miss you. Uncle Mike, Aunt Patty, Ms. Gloria, Mark and Kay, and Gayle you are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you.
