Michael Joseph Czuchaj

Michael Joseph Czuchaj, age 83 a longtime resident of Warren and formerly of Detroit, died Thursday, September 08, 2011 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.Michael was born July 07, 1928 in Hamtramck, Michigan the son of the late Michael Czuchaj and the late Antoinette (nee: Koszorski) Czuchaj. Michael graduated from St. Ladislaus Catholic School in Hamtramck and later worked and retired from Chrysler Motors in Detroit. When Michael was not working he could be found tending to his home and garden in Warren, where all the neighbors and children affectionately referred to him as 'Uncle Mike'. Mr. Czuchaj never learned to drive a vehicle, however worked his whole life for an automotive company. Michael enjoyed shopping for designer clothes, solving jigsaw puzzles with neighbors, photography, however he never was that good at it, and walking to the market and the local stores. And lastly walking to church on Sunday. 'Uncle Mike' will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, and neighbors.Michael was the beloved brother of Jennie Green, Ted (Judy) Czuchaj, and the late Stanley Czuchaj, and the late Lottie Lewandowski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2:30 until the time of the Funeral Service at 5:30pm at the D.S.
