

Michael Klepak, age 98 of Shelby Township and formerly of Detroit, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Medilodge Nursing Home of Sterling Heights. Mr. Klepak was born September 22, 1906 in Armrod, Pennsylvania the son of the late Basil Klepak and the late Anna (nee: Mikala) Klepak. After his birth Mr. Klepaks family moved back to Czechoslovakia, where he was raised and went to school. At age 21 Mr. Klepak moved back to the United States coming to Michigan for work. He would work for the Chrysler Motors, working as a water sander at the Dodge Main Plant before retiring after more than 30 years of work. After retirement Mr. Klepak enjoyed traveling, going back to Europe, (Poland and Czechoslovakia), twenty-four times. He also enjoyed planting flowers, roses, and gardening. But most of all he enjoyed his time with his children, grandchildren, and family. He is survived by his children Eleanor (Steve) Preston, and Edward (Linda) Klepak. Loving grandfather of 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Mr. Klepak will be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, and Dolly Klepak. He was preceded in death by his wife Julia whom he was married to for over 72 years. Visitation for Mr. Klepak will be Thursday May 19th from 3-9 pm. Funeral Services will be Friday 11:30 am at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 mile). Officiating the funeral will be Rev. Deacon John Skladanowski.
