Nancy Louise Arbulu

Nancy Louise Arbulu age 66 a long-time resident and avid Detroiter, passed away Saturday evening December 24, 2011 at her home in Detroit. Nancy was born May 30, 1945 in Hamtramck, Michigan the daughter of the late Alfred Wrublewski and the late Louis (nee: Dzialo) Wrublewski. She was raised in Center Line Michigan and graduated from Center Line high school. She later went on to receive her nursing degree from Harper Nursing School University Hospital, and continued her nursing education to specialize as a Nurse Anesthetist from Wayne State University. She was proud to have graduated from these two great institutions, as they were one of the first nursing programs introduced into the United States. She married Dr. Agustin Arbulu on October14, 1978 and both were devoted to one another for over 33 years. When Nancy was not working she was an avid reader, and a movie buff who knew all the old classics especially the ones that featured all the great 'show tunes'. She would relish in singing show tunes and also loved the arts' including the symphony, opera, and ballet. Nancy and her husband also enjoyed traveling. One of Nancy other hobbies was her perfume collection, and her family considered her quite a perfume aficionado. Mrs. Arbulu was connected and supported her Detroit Community. She and her husband supported many of Detroit's arts and various charities including the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Detroit Opera House, Wayne State University, and Old St. Mary's Church. Mrs. Arbulu was the beloved wife of over 33 years to Dr. Agustin Arbulu, and the dear sister of Janet Wrublewski, and Allen Jesse Wrublewski. She was the loving aunt of Maria Soledad Arbulu, and step-mother of Agustin (Marcia) Arbulu, Victor Arbulu, and Maria (Moses) Arbulu. Mrs. Arbulu was also the cherished grandmother of Victor Arbulu, Sara, Tre Arbulu, Lucas Arbulu, Cheyenne Arbulu, and great-grandmother of Cheyenne Arbulu Barrow. Visitation for Mrs. Arbulu will be Wednesday from 3-9pm with an evening Vigil 7pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 ' Mile). Mrs. Arbulu will lie in state Thursday 9:30am at the Old St. Mary's Catholic Church, 646 Monroe Street, in Detroit, until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10am. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Simon Lobon. Interment will follow Mass in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial donations are appreciated to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra or the Detroit Opera House. Please share memories of Nancy at her guest book.
