Nicole Carol (Kahl) VanDriessche, age 39 of Clinton Township, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 10, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 14, 1981 in Warren, daughter of Karen Lee (nee: Lawrence), and the late Raymond Otto “Ron” Kahl.
Along with her role as a loving and caring mom, Nicole worked outside of the home as well as an esthetician for the popular cosmetics supply store, Ulta. Though the store incorporates a plethora of products, Nicole’s strong-suit was in sharing her many beauty tips and helping women enhance their glamour by way of their eyebrows. Nicole loved her job in the store’s brow bar, and worked her magic in the lives (and on the faces) of countless ladies who left Ulta feeling like a million bucks. Making people feel good & special was definitely in her wheelhouse.
When she was able to find time away from work, Nicole was known for being a little crafty. Not in the sly way, but through the artistic flair that guided her mind and imagination with each project she worked on. Her crafts were definitely an outpouring of the creative spirit that permeated her soul. If she wasn’t immersed with crafting, then you might have found her sitting in front of the television watching movies. Nicole was a huge cinema buff and could never get enough of the movies that tugged on both her heart and her funny bone. But of all the pastimes Nicole enjoyed the most, there was no matching the supreme joy she garnered from sharing an evening with her Mom on the patio. The talks, the tears, the laughter and the years,…of holding each other up, building each other up, and being the wind beneath each others’ wings,…the relationship they shared was beyond special, it was a gift from God.
Speaking of God,…Nicole’s personal testimony and faith were of the utmost importance to her, and was an incredible source of strength as she battled her monsters in life. Illness may have chipped away at her body, but Nicole’s sweet, sweet spirit grew stronger with each battle,…and was truly a testament to her deep and abiding faith. Nicole was also an immense inspiration to all, and could melt your heart with a simple flash of her radiant smile. That, coupled with her charismatic personality and outgoing spirit, helped to make her the encouraging influence she was to all. Also, she didn’t have a selfish bone in her body,…it was always about putting others needs ahead of her own. Nicole had a genuine heart, a countenance of compassion, and a loving-kindness that just made you feel good to be around her,…which always found you coming back for more.
Nicole loved hanging out with her friends. She couldn’t have been more blessed than to have her homey’s by her side in life,…especially through the difficult times with her illness. She also lived to spend time with her kids, Elle & Jager. They meant the world to her, and were the notes to the music in her life.
Gone far too soon from our presence, it certainly is not without imparting the best of herself into the lives of us all. The questions may hang heavy as to why, but we can rest assured that Heaven has another angel,…and she’ll be watching over us. A loving Mom, daughter, and cousin, Nicole leaves a legacy of love that is sure to be embraced with each reflection shared. She touched a multitude of hearts and souls in her journey through life,…she will be missed beyond measure and loved beyond expression.
Nicole was the loving mother of Jager and Elle. Beloved daughter of Karen (the late Raymond “Ron”) Kahl. Cherished cousin of Adam (Kristy) Dippel. Dearest granddaughter of the late Don & Carol Lawrence, and niece of Terry & Iris Lawrence.
