

Norma Estelle Doherty, age 79 a longtime resident of Warren, died Saturday, January 30, 2010 at St. John Macomb Hospital Center in Warren. Norma was born May 28, 1930 in Highland Park, Michigan the daughter of the late Norman Biscorner and the late Stella (nee: Scibor) Biscorner. Mrs. Doherty was raised in Detroit and attended St. Bartholomew Catholic School. She worked for a short time before she was married, however once she was married she became the consumate wife and stay at home mom to her family. Her children remember their mother's wonderful cooking and baking. Everyone would request her wonderful cookies, pies, and cakes. Also Norma was passionate about roses in her garden. Her other favorite things to do were bowling and fishing, but the most cherished time was spent with family and grandchildren whom she adored. She had a soft spot for all children and would volunteer her time to help the less fortunate children. Mrs. Doherty is the beloved wife of Gerald, and the dearest mother of Sharon Doherty, Thomas (Kristy) Doherty, and Gerald Jr. (Lisa) Doherty. She is the loving grandmother of Lauren, Erica, Kelly, Brandi, Renee, and dear sister of Charlene (Clarence) Kurzawa, Joyce (the late Larry) Rust, and Martin Biscorner. Visitation for Mrs. Doherty will be Monday from 5-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-9 pm with a 6 pm Rosary service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Mrs. Doherty will lie in state Wednesday 11 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:30 am. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Roman Pasieczny. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan. Please share memories of Mrs. Doherty at her guest book.
