Norman Daniel Gottardo, age 75, of Eastpointe, Michigan passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Norman was born January 17, 1947 to the late Danillo and Theresa Gottardo. Beloved husband of the late Sharon Gottardo; cherished father of Dan Gottardo and Shannon (Roger) Gentry; loving grandfather of Roger III, Danillo, and Miles; dear brother of Janet Gottardo and the late Richard (Susan) Gottardo; and uncle of Andrea (Chris) Barr, Richard (Katie) Gottardo Jr., and Christopher (Amanda) Gottardo.
Norm retired from the United States Army in 1991. He was a member of the Co. F 425th Infantry Airborne Rangers and he was a retired East Detroit Police Officer. He loved golf, dancing, and Karaoke. He was a generous, loving, and selfless soul and he will be deeply missed.
Funeral Visitation is Tuesday, February 8, and Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 2 pm until 9 pm. Funeral mass will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 at The Our Lady of Hope Church in St. Clair Shores at 10:00 am.
