Paul A. Kelliker, age 50, died on Monday, March 7, 2016 at St. John Hospital in Detroit. He was born November 27, 1965 to the late George Kelliker and the late Shirley (nee: Tofil) Kelliker.Paul was employed in the construction industry and specialized in the field of sheet metal. Along with pouring the utmost in work ethics on the job, Paul was also quite proud of his association and membership with union, the Sheet Metal Workers' Local 80. It was a brotherhood and kinship he found to be of great reward. For his time spent away from work, Paul loved to hop upon his Harley-Davidson and hit the open road for a little exhilaration and a bit of Americana power. He also tried to stay atop taking care of his body and truly enjoyed working out at the gym. From his more charitable side, Paul devoted a great deal of his time to the support and assistance with the National Alcoholics Association's meetings and conventions. But if you ask anybody, there was one aspect of Paul's life that trumped everything,…and that was his love and admiration for his son, Pauly. He was an amazing father who held his son in the highest regard and tried to spend as much Father/Son time as possible. Whether it was boating on the lake, casting their lines in a favorite fishing hole, or sharing their sporting pleasures together, the dualing Paul's made quite a team. Likewise, in his earlier years, Paul was also an amazing husband. Even though the passing years and time found he and Daniela going their separate ways, the story of Paul would be sadly remiss if not for mentioning the joy and relationship that began with the melding of these two hearts, and which culminated in the beautiful gift they shared in their son, Pauly. Known to all as a generous man, Paul was always there to help when the need arose and would offer the best part of himself in the process. From his family to his many friends both at and away from work, Paul leaves a storehouse of wonderful memories for all to cherish with each reflection shared. Gone far too soon from our presence, his earthly absence leaves a chasm that God is sure to fill with the legacy of love that Paul exuded,…and will remain for all eternity. Yet, still,…he will truly be missed. He was the loving father of Pauly. Beloved brother of Renee (Robert) Brish, and Christy Vann. He was also a devoted uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation for Paul will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with an evening service at 7:00 p.m., at the D.S.
