Paul Douglas Schohl, age 75, passed away on June 18, 2024. Paul was born on April 11, 1949, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, to his loving parents Albert and Doris Schohl. Paul was the 4th oldest of an enormous family consisting of 13 siblings (9 brothers and 4 sisters).
Paul was an incredibly hard worker, he spent 35 years as a truck driver for Chrysler. When he was at home, he relaxed by working on his car or any other project he could find. He was incredibly handy, a true jack-of-all-trades, and he never called anyone to fix something for him. Gardening was a beloved pass time for Paul, spending hours working on tilling the garden to produce the best tomatoes. He also took great pride in taking care of his yard and always had the greenest, well-groomed lawn on the block. When his sons were younger, they would spend their summers going to little league baseball games, camping, and fishing. Metamora Beach and Stoney Creek were some of their favorite places to go to camp and fish. Paul was a faithful fan of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. Paul also loved testing his luck with the lottery. He was an avid player and played regularly until the day that he passed. Paul loved to crack jokes and make people laugh. His humor and good-natured spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
Paul is the devoted husband of 50 years to Kathleen. The loving father of Jason Schohl and Michael (Amelia) Schohl. Cherished grandfather of Summer Rose, Lukas, and Jocelyn. Survived by his siblings Bernie, Rose Marie, Albie, Doris, Timmy, Tony, Danny, Mary and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his siblings Bill, Jimmy, Betty, Pat and Chris.
