Raymond Scott Morley, age 53, died Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Ascension St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Raymond was born February 4, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Harry Eugene Morley and the late Alice (nee: Sweeney) Morley.
Raymond was raised in Detroit and graduated from Lutheran High School West, the graduating class of 1986. Following his education, Raymond worked in the alarm and security services industry. It was while working within the alarm business that Raymond met his wife, Avonelle.
Raymond and Avonelle were married, officially, on February 25, 1993, and later celebrated their nuptials on October 15, 1993. Although Raymond suffered from health problems his entire life related to juvenile diabetes, he continued to work and enjoy life when able.
Raymond loved his fur buddies including his cats and dogs, and especially his beloved chihuahuas. He was a kind and gentle soul who quietly made many friends over the years. Raymond and his wife shared their passion for visiting the Motor City Comicon festival, along with Raymond's penchant for collecting Beatles and Monkey's memorabilia. He was an avid shopper on eBay and was always looking for that special buy. Raymond will be remembered for his wry sense of humor, and will be missed by everyone he knew.
Raymond was the beloved husband of Avonelle Morley, and dear step-brother of Theresa Dillon, and Rose (Jim) Kropik.
Private cremation services have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren.
Memorial donations, in Raymond’s name, are appreciated to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan. www.nkfm.org or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. www.jdrf.org
