Richard Anthony Krist

Richard Anthony Krist, age 60, died Monday, October 15, 2018 at his home in Roseville, Michigan. He was born March 28, 1958 in Detroit, son of the late Jacob and the late Katharina (nee: Fassbinder) Krist.Richard was known to many as a quiet & reserved soul who was proud to be a lifelong resident of Roseville, growing up and remaining in the home of his youth. Employed as a Tool & Die Engineer within the automotive trades, Richard was a dedicated worker who poured the best parts of his expertise and knowledge into designing and manufacturing the various products which were utilized within the automotive supply chain. He worked long and hard hours to earn those precious moments he enjoyed being entertained by his favorite fare on the television. From his passion for the news, to keeping up with the stock updates, to enjoying his penchant for watching a great movie,...and yes, even a video game on occasion,...Richard's time in front of the TV was the perfect escape from the responsibilities of life, and into the world of relaxation & recreation. Richard touched many lives throughout his journey in life with the gifts that had been given him,...traits like that of a great handyman, a dependable & trustworthy friend, and the kind of guy who was always willing to help, never expecting anything in return. He loved in his own way, and the greatest of that was poured out to his daughter, Stephanie,...it was a love beyond measure. She was the light of his life and a beacon of sunshine that warmed his heart immensely. Richard was also the cherished uncle to his niece, Lauren, and her son, Adrijan…two other bright stars within his universe. Richard was the beloved father of Stephanie (Joseph) Dragotta; dear brother of Robert (Shirley) Krist; and loving uncle of Lauren Krist. A Memorial Visitation for Richard will be held on Sunday, November 11th from 5-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd.) in Warren. A Memorial Service to celebrate and honor Richard's life will take place on Sunday at 7:30 pm. Officiating the service will be Deacon Franz Hoffer.
