Richard Henry Sunderman, age 69, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away on December 15, 2021. He is the beloved husband of 49 years to Sharon; Devoted father of Michelle (Bill Furest), Bryan (Vicky), and the late Michael; grandfather of Joshua, Alexis, Jacob, Cody, Bill, and Addisyn; dear brother of Larry (Nancy), Susan, and James, and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary Sunderman.
He proudly served for 4 years during the Vietnam War as part of the U.S. Navy, worked for years at Chrysler then the Motor Rebuilders, and retired from Michigan Motors. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, and camping. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on December 23, 2021, from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00PM, at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, at Masonic, in Warren. A committal service with military honors will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, in Holly, at 2:30PM.
