Robert Joseph Duncan

Robert Joseph Duncan, age 37 of Warren, died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at St. John Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. He was born January 21, 1979 in Warren, son of Robert Duncan and Cindy (nee: Krzystowczyk) Bielski.For his career path, Robert chose the food service industry where his skills and talents as a cook were best served. He loved to prepare meals and certainly knew his way around the kitchen. Give him a stove or oven, and there was bound to be some culinary magic performed.When he found some time away from working, Robert loved to exercise his love of the outdoors. Whether it was camping or fishing, the Michigander in him just couldn't get enough of escaping the concrete jungle in exchange for something a little slower paced. Robert was also a huge fan of BBQing,…just another venue where his food preparing skills shone brightly.To all who knew Robert, they'll attest to the "perpetual kid" that lied within. There was a youthfulness about Robert that was near contagious,…and this was never more evident than when he was surrounded by fireworks. He was simply a happy guy, never said anything bad about anyone, and was always seeking to make others laugh. If you needed a laugh, Robert would never cease to pull it out of you. And if nothing else, he was renowned for having a robust and infectious laugh,…and that did much to effect a happy environment that enveloped him like a warm & cozy blanket. Known for his kind and gentle spirit, there was much about life that brought enjoyment his way,…but none so much as the light of his life, his son, Robert, known more affectionately to all as "RJ." His son was his "everything" and the two were like peas in a pod. Gone far too soon from our presence, Robert leaves behind a storehouse of wonderful memories shared with those he's loved,…and the many who loved him back. For those who were blessed to know Robert, they'll not forget the loving and caring impression he left upon each and every person that passed through his life. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally.Robert was the beloved son of Cindy Bielski. Loving father of Robert "RJ" Duncan. He leaves to cherish his memory, fiance Christina Annon, and family. Grandson of Henry & Helen Krzystowczyk .Grandson of the late Daniel and Joann Furkovich . Nephew of Corinne (Jim) Herman, Susan Vaillencourt, and Karen (Barry) Renze, Denise Falkner , Deb (Kevin) Twomey. He is also survived by many loving cousins. Visitation for Robert will be held Monday, June 20th from 3-9pm, with a 7pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. His Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, 11:00 am at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Fr. Jack Baker. Please share memories of Robert at his memory book above.
