Robert William Maier

Robert William Maier, age 77 of Center Line, died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. He was born May 27, 1939 in Pennsylvania, son of the late William and the late Katherine (nee: Kouzch) Maier.With thanks and praise from a grateful nation, we pay homage to Robert for his service to our country in the United States Air Force. Ultimately attaining the rank of Airman 2nd Class, he served with pride and distinction, and with the willingness to stand in harm's way for the furtherance of the freedoms we enjoy,…because he was there. Robert was the beloved husband of Judith with whom he was honored to share over 54 wonderful years together in marriage. He was the dear father of Robert Maier, Ronald (Julie) Maier, Richard Maier, Lori (Michael) Pesavento, Chris Maier, and Christine (David) Dutkiewicz. Loving grandfather of seven, and great-grandfather of one. Visitation for Robert will be held Tuesday, June 21st from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. He will be laid to rest, with military honors, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
