

Robert Thomas Maryanski, age 87, of Warren, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at his home. He was born September 23, 1925 in Detroit the son of the late Thomas and the late Marie (nee: Piasecki) Maryanski.For over 43 years, Robert was employed with the Detroit News / Detroit Free Press where he served as their Head of Distribution. Through his dedicated work ethics, determination and team building skills, he enjoyed the fruits of his labors and the ensuing rewards that instilled him with immense pride. Throughout his career, he mentored hundreds of paper carriers and was an integral part of the successes they shared together. As a result of he and his teams' achieving their many sales goals over the years, Robert was blessed to enjoy many prize-winning trips as a result of his dedicated efforts.Robert enjoyed spending time fishing on Lake St. Clair and on the St. Clair River. He also loved to travel, especially through work, spending time in Las Vegas, Hawaii, Alaska, England and California to name a few places. When he was not fishing or traveling, Robert found great enjoyment solving crossword puzzles which he was great at. Robert was a dedicated church goer. He and his wife have been members of Woodside Bible Church for over 50+ years. He sometimes referred to the church as his second home. The members at Woodside will greatly miss seeing him every Sunday. However, they know that he is at peace with the Lord and has joined the Angelic Choir in Heaven.Robert is survived by his wife, Naomi; children, Diane (Kurtis) Tatum, Ken (Peggy), and David (Ann); grandchildren, Janelle, Hannah, and Nolan; and sister-in-law, Aurelia Maryanski. Visitation for Mr. Maryanski will be held Thursday 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). He will lie In state Friday 10:00 am until the time of his funeral Service at 11:00 am at Woodside Bible Church - Warren Campus. Interment, with full military honors, will take place on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 12:00 pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.Please share memories at his memory book.
