Born in Detroit to the late Robert Sr. and Anna Piltz, Bob’s most cherished memories were spent with his wife Barbara, his family, and the friends he held most of his life. Something Bob looked forward to all year was the yearly trip he and his wife made to Florida for a couple weeks of golfing and relaxation. He also enjoyed taking boat trips with his beloved boat “Liebchen” (German for sweetheart) out on lake Saint Clair and soaking in the warm weather. Many memories were made sitting on the docks at night sharing stories and laughter with friends. When he was at home, Bob played on a pool league and was known to be a talented player. He never missed catching a U of M football game. Every now and then for a short getaway he would go “up north” to visit friends. Bob will be missed dearly.
Beloved husband of Barbara Marten for 45 years. Loving brother of Pam Sirko and Sandi Meyer. Also survived by a daughter, granddaughters, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Bob will lie in state on Friday, February 14th from 10am until time of Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 12 Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48088. Luncheon to follow.
