Robert Lawrence Pratt

Robert Lawrence Pratt, age 76 a resident of Warren for over 33 years, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at his home in Warren. Robert was born April 05, 1935 in Queens, New York the son of the late Richard Pratt and the late Elizabeth (nee: Bolas) Pratt. Robert was raised in New York and later served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He started working at General Motors in New York when he was a young man and later was transferred to Michigan when GM closed their local New York office.Robert and his wife settled in Warren, Michigan and thoroughly loved the community and their neighbors. Robert would retire from General Motors after more than 37 years as a finance manager in the accounting department.The whole goal and plan for retirement was golf. Robert had a passion for golf and some may say he was a bit fanatical about the sport. If he could Robert would golf everyday however he settled on five to six days a week. Golf notwithstanding his other love in life was his family' Robert reveled in delight at watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren carry on. Later in life Robert was a home body who had a quite faith about him and his God.Robert was the beloved husband of Theresa, and the dear father of Deborah Pratt, Linda (Vicente) Giordano, Robert (Margaret) Pratt, and Kathleen (Kenneth) Koperski. He was the cherished grandfather of Joseph, Antoinette, Theresa, Michelle, Robert, Angela, Heidi, Geraldine, Crystal, Kristopher, and great-grandfather of Vinny, Brooke, Dominic, Cadence, Anthony, Jenna, Alexander, and Jacob. Visitation for Mr. Pratt will be Wednesday from 3-9 pm at the D. S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 ' Mile). A Scripture Service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Please share memories of Robert at his guest book.
