Roman Basak, 79, of Warren, died Saturday, September 2, at St. John Macomb Hospital Center, Warren. Roman was born May 15, 1927 in Poland. Roman worked as a master tailor. He absolutely loved sewing. He also enjoyed working around and house and taking care of the yard. Roman is survived by his wife of 30 years; Maria; children, Robert, Donny, Theresa (Kevin) Kabacinski and Richard (Dorota); grandchildren, Kyle, Kaylyn, Cameron, Ashley, Brittany and Courtney; brother, Mitchell (Henryka); and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michal and Ludwika; and brothers, Norbert, Stanley and Edward. Visitation for Roman will take place Monday, September 4 from 2-9 pm with a 7:00 pm rosary at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12/ Mile). A funeral mass will be held Tuesday 11:30am at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church. He will be in state at the church at 11:00 am . The Mass will be officiated by Fr. Jerry Pilus. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
