Sam David Pulice, age 52 of Warren, died peacefully with his daughter by his side on Monday, January 9, 2017 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. He was born July 27, 1964 in Detroit, son of the late Sam and the late Joan (nee: Latant) Pulice.Sometimes the greatest joys in our lives come from the simple things in life,…and often they aren't things at all, rather living beings that impact us immeasurably and cause us to draw from them like sunshine on a winter's day. Such was the case for Sam when it came to the three beings who stirred his compassions; his late dog Star, his cat Gadjet,…but most importantly, his daughter Angela. Of course, it's a given that our pets offer us an uncanny, unconditional love that always seems to manifest itself at just the right times, and that's exactly what Star and Gadjet did for Sam. But Angela, now,…just the mention of her name would find Sam lighting up with a joy that was not only unexplainable, but something that only a father & daughter can attest to and know. Spending time with Angela meant the world to Sam, and each opportunity for the two of them to be together was nothing short of treasured. Sam possessed a storehouse of talents,…sort of your "Jack of all trades & master of none" kinda guy. Like most dudes, Sam was always interested and intrigued by all-things-hardware, so it made perfect sense that his work entailed him donning that familiar blue apron each day as a Lowe's Construction Specialist. Whether big job or small, if your project required a little assistance and expertise from a guy in the know, Sam was your man. That's right,…he was truly "Sam the Man!"As for Sam's away-from-the-job pleasures, exchanging the concrete jungle for a taste of the outdoors would almost always call him camping or, perhaps, to one of his favorite fishing holes. Either way, he was bound to grab hold of a chunk of peace, relaxation, and serenity,…Sam Style! (Unless, of course, you'd find him grappling with a "Big One" on the line.) Two of his favorite spots to unwind and refresh were found in the back country of Michigan's "Up North,"…or in the Buckeye State of Ohio, each with its own unique and genuine beauty,…and each providing a "fishing & camping bonanza" for Sam.Yet of all that he cherished most, it was the love of family and friends that always ended up being his "best catch." Between Sam's immediate loved ones, and the extended bunch in his many loving nieces and nephews, he was certainly covered with care and compassion beyond expression. He touched a multitude of hearts and lives along the way and leaves a plethora of warm and wonderful memories in his wake. He will be missed immensely and loved eternally. Beloved husband of Rita. Loving father of Angela. Dear brother of Mark, Michele, and Matthew (Dena) Pulice.A Memorial Visitation for Sam will be held on Friday, January 20th from 5-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. Please share memories of Sam at his memory book above.
