Sharon L. Flaherty

Sharon L. Flaherty, age 66, of Warren, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at St. John Oakland General Hospital in Madison Heights. Mrs. Flaherty was born February 6, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Leslie and Isobell (nee: Young) Parsons. She was raised in St. Clair Shores where she attended Lakeshore High School. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Hazel Park for many years. Sharon began working for the State of Michigan as a secretary, after a few years she left working for the State and began her own catering business. She moved to Warren in 1966 to begin raising her daughter and in 1996 she married Charles Flaherty. Sharon loved spending time in her garden, planting flowers, and playing with animals. She was an excellent cook, baker and had a heart of gold. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Flaherty is survived by her husband, Charles; her daughter Vicki (Michael) Whitt; her granddaughter, Ashley Fitzgerald; her two companions, Lizzie and Precious. She was predeceased by her parents, Leslie and Isobell Flaherty. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile Road), Warren, with the Rev. Jerry Weinzierl officiating. Please share memories of Sharon at her guestbook.
