Sharon J. Minchey

Sharon Janet Minchey, age 83, of Fraser, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Sharon grew up in Hamtramck, Michigan but attended St. Joseph Academy, a Catholic girls school in Adrian, Michigan. After graduation, she moved to New York City where she worked as a flight attendant for multiple airlines. She enjoyed sharing memories of her travels to such places as Hawaii and Ireland. After returning to Michigan, she married and moved to Warren, where she lived most of her adult life.

Sharon was the beloved wife of the late James Minchey; dear mother of David (the late Erika) Minchey, Lisa (David) Lopez, Jennifer (Wayne) Russell, Rachel (the late Tom) Downey, Linda (Lee) Golombisky, James (Legaysa) Minchey, Jr., and Donna (J.R.) Bohn; cherished grandmother of Ellianna, Olivia, MacKenzie, Cassandra, Michael, Adrianna, Matthew, Christopher, Jacob, Emily, Ella, Meghan, Leanna, Dameon, Samantha, Shelby, and Connor; loving great-grandmother of Emily and Hannah; and sister of Brian (Kim) Garavaglia.

A visitation for Sharon will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM Rosary, at D.S. Temrowski and Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan 48093. Sharon will lie in state from 9:00 AM until time of funeral mass at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at St. Martin de Porres, 31555 Hoover Rd, Warren, MI 48093. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Calvary Cemetery in Brighton, MI.
