Shirley was born on October 30, 1939 in Meally, KY to her parents Joseph and Verli Dutton and they lovingly raised her on a small farm in Weeksbury, KY.
She met and married the love of her life, Joseph Hanna Shamoun and together they spent 43 years together creating a loving home for their eleven children.
Shirley Loved the Lord and her parish community at St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church. She loved to cook and provide a comforting home cooked meal. She enjoyed the peace of mind that came from gardening and decorating her home, especially for the holidays. She could be found singing along to her favorite country music hits. Shirley often enjoyed spending time with her friends and sharing in a good laugh. No one loved a good laugh more than she did.
Shirley was a hardworking, loving and loyal wife and mother. She was dearly devoted to her family, who brought her so much joy, especially when the news arrived of a new grandchild or great grandchild. The joy that the future generations of her family brought to her was immeasurable, but could be seen by the biggest smile that was brought to her face.
Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her children and family. It is said that there is no love like that of a mother.
She is survived by her eleven children, Crossill (Jeri), Joseph, David (Joan), John, Christian, Robert (Cheryl), Stephen (Holly), Mary (David) Holdwick, Michael (Kelly), James (Heather) and Timothy.
