Stanley "Stosh" Koniecki

Stanley "Stosh" Koniecki, age 52, died Friday, January 22, 2016 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren surrounded by his family. Stosh was born January 3, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Zygmunt Koniecki and the late Justyna (nee: Krawczyk) Koniecki.Stosh was raised in Hamtramck where, as a young man, he loved to play sports of all kinds. Following his schooling, Stosh worked for over 15 years as a tool maker for Great Lakes Tools in Warren, Michigan.When Stosh was not working, he held a passion for playing pool with his friends and billiards competitors. He was also an avid sports fan in general and enjoyed watching all of his favorite Detroit teams. Additionally, Stosh loved fishing any chance he had. Stosh was the consummate jokester who enjoyed playing practical jokes, as well as engaging others with his joke-telling skills. He could laugh about anything or nothing. Stosh's greatest joy in life was to be with his children and to surround himself with other family members as well. Stosh is survived by his wife, Ewa, and was the loving father of Bradley, Kathleen, and Emily Koniecki. He was also the beloved brother of Josephine Wojtelewicz, Zygmunt (Pat) Koniecki, Joseph (Stephanie) Koniecki, Walter Koniecki, Alinka (Dave) Demkin, Olga (Ron) Dietrich, Caroline (Stanley) Sznitka, and Victor (Sherry) Koniecki. Further surviving are many loving family members and friends. Visitation for Stosh will be held Tuesday, January 26th from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ mile) in Warren. Mr. Koniecki will lie in state Wednesday, 9:00am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 9:30am at St. Martin dePorres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Road in Warren.Please share memories of Stosh at his memory book above.
