Theresa Marie Bach, age 88, died Thursday, December 5, 2019 in Fraser, Michigan. She was born December 8, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Stanley Ignasiak and the late Louise (nee: Makowski) Ignasiak.
In July of 1950, Theresa took that fateful walk down the aisle to join the love of her life, Edward, in holy matrimony. They shared over 69 years of marriage with one of the most meaningful moments being able to celebrate their Golden Anniversary together. Theresa was a dedicated wife & mother and was an integral part in the raising and nurturing of six wonderful children. Family was one of her greatest treasures, and she always looked forward to the fun of the family functions with everyone.
It can truly be said that Theresa was “Full of Life!” She was mentally strong & young, funny-to–the-bone, and had a competitive nature that showed itself each time she engaged her friends & neighbors in card games like Pinochle and Horses. Theresa was also an avid bowler. She played for as long as she could and it was only for the pure enjoyment of the sport. She loved to travel, especially when it was to Port Huron to watch the Freighters pass or to look for Light Houses.
When it came to the outdoors, her hard working hands included an important aspect…a big, ol “green thumb! Yes, Theresa was the Queen of her Garden and just loved playing in the dirt. Whether it was her beautiful flowers or her garden of plenty, Theresa took much pride in nurturing her gardens growth and enjoyed reaping the harvest of her tender-loving-care.
Yet, the tender-loving-care that meant the most was that which Theresa extened to her family and friends. She loved spending time with them, making the memories that she left for each of them, now, to cherish. The lives she touched were many and she will be immensely missed by all.
She was the beloved wife of Edward Jr. Dear mother of Irene (Pat) Morrison, Carol (Mike) Catrinar, Diane Barkley, Theresa (Joe) Tringali, Michael Bach, and Marie (John) Vardon. Loving grandmother of 12, and great-grandmother of 16. She was also survived by her sister Josephine and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, December 13th from 9:30 am until time of the Memorial Mass at 10:00 am at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church – St. Clement Campus, 25320 Van Dyke Avenue, Center Line, MI 48015.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren.
