Thomas Joseph Wilhelm

Thomas J. Wilhelm, age 86 of Warren, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. He was born on September 16, 1924 in Hamtramck, the son of the late Arthur and the late Eleanor (nee: Rybicki) Wilhelm. With thanks & praise from a grateful nation, we pay homage to Thomas for his service to our country during World War II. He attained the rank of Machinist Mate 3rd Class as a sailor in the United States Navy. The freedoms & liberties we enjoy today are ours because of Thomas' honorable service and sacrifice. He was the beloved husband of the late Florence. Dear father of Clifford Wilhelm, and the late Glenn Wilhelm. Loving grandfather of Christopher Wilhelm and Matthew Wilhelm. A Memorial Visitation for Thomas, (which will be shared with his wife who died on April 26, 2011), will be held on Wednesday, May 11th from 2:00pm-8:00pm, with a 6:00pm Memorial Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. Inurnment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan. Memorial donations are welcomed to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Michigan Chapter, Inc., 21311 Civic Center Drive, Southfield, MI 48076. Arrangements were entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. Please share memories of Thomas at his guest book.
