

Trevah Christine Halanski, age 91, of Sterling Heights formerly of Detroit died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Pineridge of Plumbrook in Sterling Heights.She was born September 7, 1920 in Tyronza, Arkansas the daughter of the late Guy and the late Theodora (nee: Eifert) Daggett.Trevah was happily married for 65 years to her late husband Steve. She lived her life in Detroit and worked as a paraprofessional for Detroit Pershing High School for 35 years retiring when she was 85 years old. When Trevah was not raising her family or working she enjoyed ceramics, quilting and gambling. In fact she was a frequent Keno winner due to her "special numbers." It was also a well known fact that Trevah hated staying at home, and was known for packing the kids up in the car and taking a two week trip to Florida, Canada or any destination that got them out of the house.Trevah is survived by her children, Mary Radlick, Barbara K. Halanski, Steven (Barbara), Tom (Jeannie), and Carol (Dan) Leonard; grandchildren, Lisa (Chris) Greunwald, Aaron (Rhetta) Leonard, April Leonard, Ben (Karen) Halanski, Nathan Halanski, Steven (Stephanie) Halanski, Matthew (Amy) Halanski, Ronald (Wendi) Radlick, and Cheryl Radlick; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Lucas, Anna, Steve, Sara, Sean, Melissa, Anthony, Jordan, Ella, and Ava.She is predeceased by her husband, Steve.Visitation for Mrs. Halanski will be held Monday 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). Her funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Shawn Fenske. Interment will follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.Please share memories at Trevah's guest book.
