It is with great sadness that we announce the departure and passing of Tsune “Sue” Davidson, age 91. Our most beloved mother, grandmother, wife, friend, daughter, sister and family member passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021. Sue was born on May 16th, 1930, to the Iwamoto family in Yokohama, Japan. She met the love of her life, Donald L. Davidson during his time in Yokohama, Japan where he served with the United States Army, they would be married in 1953. The following year, 1954, they would welcome their son, Patrick (Cindy) Davidson into the world. In 1955, she moved to Michigan with her new family, welcoming daughter Janet (Lowe) into their lives in 1956. Tsune was a very talented seamstress for many years, she loved to travel the world, including stops in Beijing, China, and Alaska. You could find her on Wednesdays at her local women’s club, or “spa” as she so fondly referred to it. She loved to dance, often teaching others the art of line dancing. Above all, Tsune loved her family, she would be at every school concert, birthday party, family vacation, and family gathering with her infectious smile and heartwarming laugh.
Tsune will be greatly missed and continue to be deeply loved. She leaves behind many grandchildren including Christine (Russel) Pobursky, Stephen (Elizabeth) Lowe, Amy (Anthony) Cornell, Scott Bickerstaff and Dawn (Robert) Salwa. Great grandchildren Ryan, Aaron and Ainsley Lowe, Gavin Ghandour, Owen Pobursky, Scott Bickerstaff Jr, Adrianna Mikolowski, Samantha (Matt Bacon) Marcicky, Stephen (Cassidy Hewitt) Salwa, Spencer (Lindsey) Salwa. Great, great grandchildren McKinnley and MJ Bacon, Brayden Salwa, Gunner Salwa and Braxton Hill.
Tsune played a great part in shaping the lives of everyone around her, the memories that she leaves behind will forever be cherished, and her traditions continued on. We will miss her each and every day, and think of her fondly each time we see a hummingbird fluttering as if time stood still.
